For our third installment of our monthly First Friday Reading Series, we ask the public to come in with pieces of literature that shaped you when you were young!
Don't have them anymore? GO TO THE LIBRARY. Library cards are free :) Spend some time thinking about and remember what you read back then, then make a list of books to check out.
Examples might include picture books or storybooks, that first little chapter book you read all by yourself, the dumb tween Young Adult fiction, the first "deep" novel you read and understood, the book you read in middle school that made you feel like you saw the world differently, that first piece of Beat poetry that you were CONVINCED you were the first teenager to discover it and, like, gets it.
Don't have books? Come anyway, we'll have some for you.
