Screen-Printing Workshop with MACHINE GUN GRAPHICS, 1 of 2

  • KLEUR 545 Trade Street Northwest Winston-Salem, NC, 27101 United States (map)

Kyle Woodall and Nikki Bowen from Machine Gun Graphics, WSNC's leading (ahem, the raddest) screen-printing group, will spend time teaching the basics of exactly how screen-printing works. For the first hour, Kyle will take you on a trial-by-fire tour through his own career, beginning as a geurrilla printer in his own home, to expanding to large-format and what all else he does today. You will be walked through what you need to know to get started in your own home -- the materials, the chemicals, where you can get them, and other trial-by-error tips that have come in handy in Kyle's career as a printer.
Spend the second hour building your own screen and learning how to create, print, and prep your design for the SECOND part of this two-part series. Leave with instructions of what to do for the next class, and your brand new built-by-yourself screen. // $15

SECOND PHASE (on December 12, see calendar) will include actually creating your own print/s from your own design.

Register here.

NOTE: This workshop series contains TWO parts on two separate dates. The fee for this workshop is for part 1 only. There is an additional fee for part 2. If you plan to take both, please register for both events. In order to get the best possible learning experience you will want to take both workshops. However, it is not necessary.
